This is an experience that my mom had.
My mom insists that even to this very day that the experience was very real and very distinct.
This experience occurred a few months after my grandfather had passed away.
Like I have stated in previous posts here on my blog, his passing was devastating to everyone in my family.
He was so loved, and his passing left a huge void in the family.
My mom loved him as her own flesh and blood, and called him "dad".
One night, a few months after my grandfather's passing, my mom was laying in bed. She began thinking about him, and began crying. My mom was crying really hard and was feeling completely heartbroken over the death of my grandpa.
She was laying on her left side, facing the middle of the bed when all of a sudden she said the bed sank down behind her.
She said it was very heavy and felt as though someone had sat down on the bed. She thought my dad had come into the room and sat on the bed, so she turned over to talk to him.
However, when she turned over, there was no one there. My mom put her hand out onto the bed and said it felt indented, or sunken in like someone was sitting there.
All of a sudden, my mom was overcome with a tremendous feeling of complete and utter peace. She said she had never experienced anything like it in her life.
She immediately stopped crying and just layed there in awe over this tremendous peaceful feeling that had washed over her.
Then she said it felt like whoever had been sitting on her bed had gotten up. The sinking feeling on the bed was gone.
My mom said she just layed there on her bed for the longest time thinking about what she had just experienced.
Almost a half hour passed, and my dad came into the room. My mom told him all about her experience. My mom was convinced at the time, and is still convinced to this day that it was my grandpa that had come to reassure her that he was okay, and was telling her not to cry. He wanted her to know that he was very much at peace.
My mom said that experience brought her a lot of comfort, and still gives her comfort to this very day.

Throughout my entire life, as far back as I can remember, I have had experiences that one could label "paranormal". Through my experiences, I have come to the realization that there is far more to this world and this universe of ours than we can possibly even begin to imagine. I very much believe without a doubt, that when our physical body dies, the part of us that makes us who we are; our energy, our essence lives on.
If you would like to reach out to me or wish to share a personal experience, I would love to hear from you!
